Located in the Philadelphia Sports Stadium District, Comcast-Spectacor requested a design for a new retail venue. The store has a direct interior connection to the arena with a dynamic entrance designed to entice game-day enthusiasts into the realm of sports/fan gear for the Flyers’ hockey and Sixers’ basketball teams. The new structure is designed to appear as if it has always been part of the complex.

Bright lighting, clean, open spaces, and interactive displays provide an environment suitable for sales of personalized team jerseys, bobble-heads and other team-related articles for purchase before, during and after the games. A sports-theme interior design with an ‘open’ ceiling concept exposes ductwork, piping and wiring, all painted to match the metal deck above. Track and pendant lighting added in the open ceiling were used to create a dramatic, high-tech effect and to direct the lighting onto the merchandise.
