Corporate Investment Trading Floor
programming and relocation
Malvern, PA | 80,000 SF

HSA was approached with an opportunity to relocate and redesign the interior architecture and design of a high-profile corporation’s Investment Management group. Extensive programming with senior leaders kicked off the project, including workspace “visioning”, furniture solutions, the incorporation of technology, security prerequisites, and aesthetics.
The biggest challenge of this effort was balancing the desire for enclosed office space for privacy and the openness required for a functional trading floor, as well as designing an adaptive work area. All of these design objectives were combined with a high level of sensitivity to schedule and a minimal impact on employees.
Furniture and accessory configurations were reviewed with the project team and senior leadership; telepresence, desk-side video conferencing, and other technology was assessed and coordinated; and branding was implemented in strategic ways. The result was a modern, technologically advanced trade floor and related support areas that maximized efficiency and production.
